Section 1513 of the FY2026 NDAA mandates that the DoD establish a framework for the security of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML). This framework focuses on protecting against data poisoning, adversarial tampering, and unauthorized access to model weights and source code. It is being integrated into both DFARS and CMMC requirements.
